Goldfish tank phone booths are popping up across Japan | Spoon & Tamago

This post from Spoon & Tamango shows the latest reuse of an outdated phone booth: a series of goldfish tanks on the streets of Osaka. I wanted to find some other uses and came across this list, which include a shower, outhouse, pub entrance, electric vehicle station, add space, art gallery, storage, library, and even a homeless shelter. I really like things like this because they make a great reuse of a ubiquitous piece of infrastructure that has become outdated due to new technology. It’s interesting to see how other things, like parking meters, can be repurposed, and what will find new uses in the future.
